Early dermatofibroma. Pinkish-red nodule on arm of 2-year-old child.
Late dermatofibroma. Brownish-red nodule on leg of teenager.
CLINICAL FEATURES
Small, firm nodules that are red at first, and later brown, are seen in dermatofibromas. Lateral pressure on the dermatofibroma will produce dimpling of the overlying surface.
TREATMENT
Usually no intervention is required. If painful, then surgical excision is recommended.
